Membership and Dues.
Membership is open to everyone interested in the objectives of the Chapter.
Annual dues, (currently $35 individual, $50 family) are recommended by the Executive Committee and approved by the membership at the Annual General Meeting.
Only paid up members have the right to serve on the Executive Committee, make motions, vote on business or receive the monthly newsletter.
When: 7:30 p.m. on the Second Tuesday of each month (excluding July and August). In December the regular meeting is pre empted by the Annual Holiday Party
Where: Community Room of the historic Montgomery’s Inn, a handicap accessible facility, 4709 Dundas Street West at Islington Avenue, Toronto, Ontario.
How: The Islington subway is nearby and buses pass by the door. There is ample free parking.
Members or special guests make presentations on some aspect of Duke’s music interspersed with recordings or videos. On occasion live music enhances the proceedings. There is always a mid meeting social period when refreshments are served. A $2.00 charge is levied on all members and guests to pay for the refreshment service that Montgomery’s Inn provides.
Guests are always welcome. However, after attending a couple of meetings, guests are encouraged to join. Members who join on or after the Spring Fundraising concerts will have their membership fees applied to the upcoming season.
