Meetings & Events

Here is the schedule of our meetings and other events for the   2016/17 season, as far as is known:

April 11 2017 – Colin Bray –  Colin is a bassist  and host of Sugarfoot Stomp a programme devoted to Classic Jazz  on the University of Toronto’s community radio station CIUT.  The title of his presentation is: Early Ellington compositions played by contemporary bands in Britain, Continental Europe and the U.S.A.     

April 29 2017 – The Annual Spring Fundraising Concert will be held in Walter Hall as usual, starting at 7:30 p.m.  The band will be The Humber Faculty Big band led by Denny Christianson.  The vocalist will be Lydia Persaud.  A band of current students – The Next Generation, will be featured. For Concert Inquiries and ticket purchase  call Alan Shiels (Concert Co ordinator) at 416-239-2683

May 9 2017 – Rob Fogle or Reide Kaiser – Tentatively.

June 13 2017 – The ever popular Member’s Choice.  Please bring selections to play to the group.  We expect that there will be a bring and buy sale, prior to the meeting start which proved very successful last year.
